It’s a surprise because no one expects it to be soo good! ha!

For the healthiest version of this soup use all organic and non-GMO ingredients where possible.


1 can 15 oz drained of each: navy beans, red kidney beans, black beans OR soak the equivalent of dried beans which would be a better option
1 large can of diced tomatoes (not drained)
4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
1 large carrot chopped
1 medium/large onion diced
1 clove garlic crushed
1 teaspoon chili powder (or more to taste)
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper (or more to taste)
Sea Salt to taste (maybe 1 t. or more)


In a large pot saute onion in a bit of butter and olive oil (two tablespoons of each). When onion is translucent add carrots with a bit of the broth until the carrots are partially tender. Then add the beans, tomatoes, seasonings and the rest of the broth and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until flavors are “married” and you’re ready to eat! YUMMY.
